On Sunday 19 April 2026, eight of our lucky members were taken on tour of the GossHawk Unlimited facility at the Casa Grande Municipal Airport. GossHawk restores vintage aircraft to flying condition. They specialize in WWII military aircraft. At the time of the tour they were working on 6 aircraft, 3 Folke Wolf 190’s, 2 AT6’s and a P51. An interesting note is that the aircraft retain their machine guns but the weapons are not in operating condition.
Special thanks to Lindsay Goss and Desiree for taking a Sunday morning away from their families to guide the tour.
Also thanks to Terry Emig for arranging the tour and hosting breakfast at the airport cafe.
For more information about GossHawk please check out their website – www.gosshawkunlimited.com. Note that GossHawk is not open to the public and our tour was a special privilage.
CGRCF FIELD WEATHER
Until the new weather station is operational we can still get live conditions near the field. Upload the “Weather Underground” app on your phone. Then search for weather station “KAZCASAG216” which is about 1/2 mile due west of the field. Make it a “FAVORITE”. Now you can check field conditions before making the trip.
RC FLIGHT TRAINING UPDATE
Thanks to Bob Flynn and Dennis Dunne who graciously donated transmitters to the program. We now have greatly increased capacity to train new RC flyers.
OPPORTUNITIES
UPDATE: Monthly meeting change. The next monthly meeting has been changed! Saturday May 30 2026 at 12 noon is the new date. Location remains the same, Sky High Coffee at the Casa Grande Municipal Airport.

Boy Scout Troop experience. A local troop will be offered dual instruction and demostrations of the aircraft we fly. Date to be arranged, likely on a weekend.
